For the 1 Inch collection, Jasper Morrison tapped into Emeco’s heritage in hand crafting 80% recycled aluminum, and leveraged its signature strength, light weight, and sustainability. The aluminum frame, clear anodized or black powder coated, is combined with seats in recycled plastic, sustainable plywood or upholstery for a wide variety of applications, including outdoor. Made in USA. Chairs and armchairs stack 6 high. Emeco's in-house powder coat colors are available for 1 Inch chair and stool frames - please contact us for details.

Make it yours
Powder coat colors: Most of our aluminum chairs, stools and tables are offered in a selection of in-house powder coat colors. No minimum order quantity. Same price and leadtime as our standard black powder coat finish.
Custom upholstery: COM/COL offered for all upholstered models, subject to fabric suitability. No minimum order quantity.
Custom table tops: Table tops in HPL and Laminate available on request. Table bases can also be bought separately, for custom tops.
Good bones
1 Inch is designed by Jasper Morrison and named after the square, recycled aluminum tubing used to handcraft the strong, lightweight frame. The frame is built using Emeco's original 77-step craft process from 1944, which turns ordinary scrap aluminum extraordinarily strong. Add to that seats and backs in plywood, upholstery and recycled plastic, for in and out.
