Navy Lounge by Jasper Morrison, 2025

Arm caps in solid wood for Navy Lounge armchairs and sofas. The arm caps are optional, ordered separately, and can be retrofitted and replaced. Sold in pairs of two. Offered in Ash, Walnut and Accoya (for outdoor use). Easy installation with double-sided adhesive tape. Please note that once arm caps have been fixed onto the armrest, remnants of adhesive tape may remain on the aluminum frame if arm caps are permanently removed.

The Navy sofa has returned from our dusty but rich archives. Originally made for the US Navy in the 1940s. Now re-designed by Jasper Morrison. Still built by hand in Hanover, Pennsylvania.

Story

It wasn't about style.


In the throes of WWII, the US Navy needed a sofa for ships and land based facilities. Turns out, what worked for one demanding environment also suits many, many others.
