Jasper Morrison has given Emeco’s classic upholstered Navy Officer Collection a fresh, light and modern update with a range of upholstery options. The 80% recycled aluminum frame is available in Emeco's signature hand brushed finish or a black powder coat. Emeco's inhouse powder coat colors are available for all Navy Officer chair frames. We also offer COM/COL upholstery. Please contact us for details. The collection also features a side chair, a swivel chair and a swivel armchair. Standard glides: soft plastic TPU glides for all-around use, including outdoor use. Alternative glides available at an upcharge.

With its long history, this humble but proud chair is an unimpeachable symbol of no-nonsense American ingenuity. Originally designed for the US Navy in the 1940's, Jasper Morrison thoughtfully refined the collection in 2019, making it relevant for today - and tomorrow.

It wasn't about style

In the throes of WWII, the US Navy needed a place to sit. The naval officers requested a softer seat than the shipboard 1006 Navy Chair®. Turns out, what worked for one demanding environment also suits many, many others.

Navy Officer offers upholstery for indoor and outdoor use. Select from our standard range of textiles and leather, or choose your own.

The aluminum frame is available in Emeco's signature hand brushed finish or black powder coat as standard. You can also choose a frame color from one of our in-house powder coat colors at no upcharge, no MOQ. Or, select your own custom powder coat color for larger volumes.
