French designer Jean Nouvel drew upon his “philosophy of nothingness” to create the simple, lightweight Soso Collection, handmade from recycled aluminum using the same process Emeco has employed to build the famous 1006 Navy Chair since 1944. "Jean Nouvel really managed to take the back bone of Emeco and leverage a new vocabulary,” says Emeco’s owner Gregg Buchbinder.
