Navy Lounge by Jasper Morrison, 2025

Re-design of Emeco's classic 1940s sofa series, first made for the US Navy. Lightweight, yet extremely durable, lounge chair for indoor and outdoor use, adaptable to a wide range of settings. The frame in recycled aluminum is handmade by Emeco's craftsmen in Hanover, Pennsylvania, following the same unique process of hand welding and heat treating used since 1944 that makes furniture so strong it comes with a lifetime warranty - in and out.

The frame comes in Emeco's signature hand brushed finish with a clear powder coat, or in powder coat colors. Black and White Grey are standard options, Emeco's in-house range of colors also available at no up-charge, no MOQ. Contact us to place your order.

Upholstery available in a range of leather, fabric and outdoor textiles. All cushions with Sunbrella Heritage cushion covers are outdoor approved. COM/COL also offered, subject to approval - please contact us to confirm suitability of custom textiles prior to order. Cushions are removable and attach to the frame with snaps and velcro for easy installation, replacement and removal, for storing when not in use.

Optional arm caps in solid wood sold separately.

Story

It wasn't about style.

In the throes of WWII, the US Navy needed a sofa for ships and land based facilities. Turns out, what worked for one demanding environment also suits many, many others.

Navy Lounge offers upholstery for indoor and outdoor use. Select from our standard range of textiles and leather, or choose your own. Cushion covers are removable for cleaning and replacement.

The aluminum frame is available in Emeco's signature hand brushed finish or a selection of powder coat colors as standard. You can also choose a frame color from one of our in-house powder coat colors at no upcharge, no MOQ. Or, select your own custom powder coat color for larger volumes.
