Accoya is a sustainable, modified wood for outdoor use. Made from a fast-growing pine, grown in managed forests, it's treated in a non-toxic acetylation process aking to pickling that makes the wood durable, rot-resistant and dimensionally stable.
Emeco offers Accoya for table tops, benches and seats for chairs and stools. The wood is uncoated and intended for outdoor use only.
Over time, the wood will patinate; change color and gain marks and stains. These can be easily sanded down, if desired.
